The background
What the checklist is for.
Year-end goes faster when the context and the records arrive together. The list groups the usual items so you can see what’s ready and what needs chasing.
Questions
Do I need every item on the list?
No. It covers what many owner-managed businesses are asked for. Your accountant will confirm which items apply to your engagement.
Where is my progress saved?
Only in this browser on this device, using local storage. Nothing is uploaded. Save a text copy or print the list to keep it elsewhere.
When is a corporation’s tax return due?
Generally six months after the end of the corporation’s tax year, while any balance owing is usually due earlier. Our guide on filing versus payment explains the difference; confirm the dates for your corporation with your accountant.
